There is no BigBrotherAwards ceremony in 2010. Not for a lack of candidates, of course. We have moved the data from the autumn to next year’s spring. This allows us to take the entire calendar year into account when presenting the awards. So the BigBrotherAwards for 2010 are presented in 2011, just as they should be.
In a compelling, entertaining and accessible format, we present these negative awards to companies, organisations, and politicians. The BigBrotherAwards highlight privacy and data protection offenders in business and politics, or as the French paper Le Monde once put it, they are the “Oscars for data leeches”.
