Rasterfahndung am Flohmarkt

eBay-Verkäufer.innen bekommen bald Post vom Finanzamt.

Wer den Kleiderschrank über eBay, Etsy oder Kleinanzeigen entrümpelt, wird künftig zum Datensatz beim Finanzamt. Seit 2023 müssen Online-Plattformen ihre Verkäufer.innen an die Steuerbehörden melden – sobald jemand mehr als 30 Verkäufe im Jahr tätigt oder über 2.000 Euro Umsatz macht. Grundlage für diese Rasterfahndung am Flohmarkt ist das Plattformen-Steuertransparenzgesetz, das die EU-Richtlinie DAC7 umsetzt. Wer nur den alten Kinderkram loswird, hat zwar steuerrechtlich meist nichts zu befürchten. Trotzdem wandern Verkaufsdaten künftig automatisiert vom Marktplatz direkt zum Fiskus. Ohne dass jemand einen konkreten Verdacht hegen muss.
